Is it free to check my data balance?
Using USSD codes like *136# or *188# is completely free on all South African mobile networks.
Why is my data balance not updating?
There is sometimes a small delay (a few minutes) between using data and it reflecting on the USSD menu. Try restarting your phone or waiting 5 minutes.
Can I check my balance on a router?
Yes, you can log in to your router's web interface (usually 192.168.8.1) or use the network's app on your phone if it is linked to the router's SIM.
What is "Night Owl" data balance?
This is a separate data balance that can only be used between midnight (00:00) and 05:00 AM. Your regular Anytime data won't be used during these hours.
How do I see which apps are using my data?
On Android: Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Data Usage. On iPhone: Go to Settings > Mobile Data.
